The always fun part of running a business (I saw sarcastically) is when we have to look and re-evaluate our prices and fee structure.
What do we take into consideration when we do a fee increase? Well.. to be honest.. everything.
We try to start with the basic foundation of inflation and cost of living for our staff and team. That is truly one of the hardest things to take into consideration, but it would be silly not to look at the quality of life and cost of living to keep our valuable team and loving staff working and living happily (ref. Bank of Canada Inflation calculator, and always.. smarter people than I in the financial industry).
We start looking at the cost of materials, utilities, and every little thing that goes into each session and service provided onsite. In the past 2 years (since our last fee increase), we have seen a significant increase in materials (lotion, linens, laundry), utilities, and especially rent/lease/space usage. With COVID, we tried to keep costs to an all time low, and restrained our increases, and have held off for almost 2 years, but we are wanting to keep the clinic balanced, and strive for the highest quality in service and treatment.
With all of this said, we will be having a slight fee increase effective May 1, 2023. As we are a specialized clinic, we encourage and support our therapists to continually be upgrading their skills and to develop high quality services. As unique as we are as a clinic, our prices reflect our unique-ness. We organize our fee schedule based on the therapist you see, their skill sets and the length of session you have booked.
We have 5 levels of therapists, starting with Student Therapists (when available), Registered Massage Therapists, Lymph Drainage Therapists, Certified Lymphedema Therapists & Lymphedema Management Specialist. We pride ourselves to bring the very best to each of our patients, and to hep create strong and successful treatment plans for each situation.
There will be a $10 increase in all services, starting effective May 1, 2023. If you have questions, please reach out to us at info@lymphbalance.com.
